For the Love of Drinks (Not Alcohol)
Another thing you’d know about me if you knew me is that I am a water-drinking champion. I love water, and I love drinking water. I naturally drink plenty of water every day, because I love water and I love drinking it. As I’ve grown up, I’ve found that this love basically extends to various other drinks I really love as well. (I’m not talking about alcohol, all the drinks I’m going to discuss here do not have alcohol in them.)
For example, a good chocolate milk or a good strawberry milk is delicious. The way the milk is a bit creamier than usual non-flavored milk makes drinking chocolate milk or strawberry milk more of an experience than the usual non-flavored milk. I love it! I love the texture, and I love the flavor.
Another example of drinks I love are unsweetened, carbonated water drinks like La Croix. I love the sharpness of how they feel in the mouth, and sometimes I crave something unsweetened, but still flavored and that sharpness. And drinks like La Croix and Coca-Cola’s answer to La Croix, Aha, fulfill and satisfy that craving. There are even caffeinated versions of the Aha drinks!
Similarly to La Croix and Aha, there are these carbonated sparkling water drinks at Kroger and Walmart, and they are really good as well. They’re not as “sharp,” if you will, as unsweetened carbonated water drinks like La Croix and Aha, they go down smoother, and that can be really nice as well.
Of course, I can’t leave out coffee! Coffee is so good and delicious. The flavor of coffee with some good creamer is just delicious and oh so satisfying for getting your caffeine. The bit of creamy texture combined with the watery texture of the original coffee is nice as well. Drinking coffee is just such an enjoyable experience. It’s also amazing how it brings us together. It’s so interesting the cultural “meeting for coffee” thing is all centered around drinking coffee. It’s so interesting how that became a thing, all over just getting coffee. It brings such an enjoyable connotation around drinking coffee. But I even still love coffee when I’m enjoying it at home either alone or with my fiancé. An afternoon coffee is so good, too.
Another type of drink I love is Boba Tea or Bubble Tea. My fiancé and I usually get Kung Fu Tea. They have a lot of really great selection. When I get a drink from there, I always get the honey tea with mango popping bubbles. I prefer the popping bubbles over the tapioca bubbles because I don’t like the texture of the tapioca bubbles. But I love the popping bubbles, I love how they are filled with a different juice than the rest of the drink so there’s mixable variety in the drink when you drink it!
So yes, in general, I just love drinks, including just plain water as well. I love how a drink feels in your mouth, whatever the texture is, whether it’s watery or thick and rich and creamy or has that sharpness to it like the unsweetened carbonated sparkling water drinks. The flavor plays a large role in drinks, too. I love drinks!
