Genre Shift - Western to Mystery

This was a project in my Making Meaning class. Everyone in the class was randomly assigned a genre of film / movie, and everyone performed their own research, exploration, and analyzing of what visually defined that genre's movie posters. We then presented our findings to the class. After that, we were randomly assigned another movie genre of one of our classmates. With that, the student who originally researched that genre shared their research with who the second genre was assigned to, so that they could use that information in their project as well. With these two movie genres, our task was to change, modify, edit, and develop the "visual, graphic language" of the imagery from one movie within one of the genres to match the visual language of the other genre. We could use the genre research from our assigned classmate's presentation. For this project, I was assigned western to mystery.
