From the Sun Winery Playing Cards

This was a project in my Design Methodology class. The task was to design a deck of playing cards and the box holding all of the cards. This card deck is a promotional item for an imaginary business—my client—attending a large industry conference or event. I chose the industry the client was in, and then from there, I developed and decided on a niche that my client operated in, utilizing a bit of marketing. I chose an Indiana winery called From the Sun Winery that has an elegant yet still fun-loving and playful tone. I conducted research into the winery and wine industry, including visual research, then I started sketching out ideas for the deck of playing cards. Once ideas were settled on, I started the process of designing the cards and the box. From there, those prototypes were adjusted, edited, modified, and iterated to reach the final products.
